Most of you know that I've been involved in more funerals this year than any previous year in my ministry. I guess that it why when I was on YouTube the other day, a particular episode of the Mary Tyler Moore Show came to mind...the one about Chuckles the Clown's funeral. Here is the funeral scene. In the midst of one of the funnier moments on TV, Georgette, Ted's girlfriend/wife (can't remember when this episode occurred in the Mary Tyler Moore time line), makes some really poignant remarks about how "funerals come too late." It seems Paul would agree as he wrote:
Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers. (Galatians 6:10)
